The department will continue to offer parents the choice of enrolling their child, who meets set criteria in highly individualised programs, including through special schools and academies.

Children eligible for support under the Education Adjustment Program (EAP) must have been diagnosed/ verified under one or more of the following categories:
- Intellectually Impairment (II)
- Speech Language Impairment (SLI)
- Autistic Spectrum Disorder (ASD)
- Physical Impairment (PI)
- Hearing Impairment (HI)
- Visually Impairment (VI)
Students accessing support through the EAP have access to the following regional services:
- Occupational Therapist
- Physiotherapist
- Speech Language Pathologist
