Performing arts centre
The college's Performing Art Centre (PAC) is air-conditioned, boasts a large stage, and seating for 450 people (200 of which are tiered). The PAC also contains industry standard sound and lighting equipment, plus a red velvet curtain that can be drawn right across the stage.
Backstage areas and change rooms with toilets, lighted mirrors and sinks are available as well. The PAC also has a foyer area complete with a ticket box. If use of the sound and lighting equipment is required sound and lighting engineers may also be booked at an additional cost. No other persons are permitted to operate the sound and lighting equipment.
Sports centre
Our indoor sports centre has indoor court markings for basketball, netball and volleyball. It also has the capacity to have indoor soccer nets erected. There is space between the courts and walls for spectators, and additional seating may be placed in the upstairs hall allowing a birds-eye view of the court floor.
The sports centre also features a drop down screen and projectors, and has speaker and microphone capabilities. There are ample toilet and shower facilities, plus a canteen area equipped with power, fridge, pie warmer and sink. Please check at the time of booking if the canteen facilities are available. The sport centre is a multi-functional facility that can also host charity events, markets, and commercial expos.
Jane Rutter auditorium
Our Jane Rutter Auditorium is air-conditioned and has tiered seating for approximately 80 people. It is a great venue for instrumental lessons, dance lessons, seminars and presentations. Half the auditorium has a wooden floor with adjacent mirrored wall, perfect for perfecting dance moves. The mirrored wall can also be covered by the black curtain when not required.
Ovals and other sporting facilities
There are two main sporting ovals including additional outdoor basketball courts, tennis courts and cricket nets. Upper Coomera State College also has an indoor gym with the latest in exercise and weight equipment.
