Positive Behaviour for Learning (PBL) has a focus on positive behaviour with clear systems for recognising and acknowledging positive behaviour.
At Upper Coomera State College (UCSC) we acknowledge positive behaviour with 'PBL Rewards' and 'Thumbs Up' tickets.
Students are taught the clear positively framed college expectations through a behaviour matrix. The matrix becomes a reference point and outlines the college expectations for staff and students. It is our staffs responsibility to model, reinforce and celebrate these behaviours.
Thumbs up and PBL Rewards tickets are awarded to students who are demonstrating the college values and weekly expectations of 'Be Safe, Be Responsible and Be Respectful'. The lucky winners have the opportunity to pick from a box of goodies.
