Years 4 and 5
Interschool sport is offered to Year 4 and 5 students in semester one of each school year. UCSC joins with other schools in the Gold Coast North Primary Sports Association season and play against schools in the northern areas of the Gold Coast.
Students and coaches travel by bus to various venues from Southport to Nerang. The sports offered are touch football ( girls), netball (girls), soccer (mixed), rugby league (boys) and AFL (boys). Currently the sports are played over 4 separate days, where students leave the college at 10.30 am and return after playing matches throughout the day by 2.45 pm. Students also participate in weekly training sessions held either before school or during lunch-breaks throughout the season..
Years 7 to 12
Upper Coomera State College offers students in Years 7-12 a wide range of sporting opportunities throughout the year. UCSC focuses on specialist teams, with supporting teachers training and taking students to competitions throughout the year. There is also a variety of 'in-school' competitions, allowing further opportunities to extend their athletic ability, and also to encourage a healthy and active lifestyle.
For Representative sports, students can trial for Broadwater teams in a variety of sports throughout the school year. Broadwater trials are widely advertised to students and nominations are taken by seeing the Sports Coordinator.
