Years 7 to 12

Upper Coomera State College offers students in Years 7–​12 a wide range of sporting opportunities throughout the year. UCSC focuses on specialist teams, with supporting teachers training and taking students to competitions throughout the year. There is also a variety of 'in-school' competitions, allowing further opportunities to extend their athletic ability, and also to encourage a healthy and active lifestyle.  

Representative sport 

For Represent​​ative sports, students can trial for Broadwater teams in a variety of sports throughout the school year. Broadwater trials​ are widely advertised to students and nominations are taken by seeing the Sports Coordinator. From here, students are then able to qualify for South Coast, State and National squads.

Broadwater Trials run every year. Broadwater District provides opportunities for both primary and secondary school students 10–​​19 years to participate in winter and summer interschool sporting competitions through cluster sport days. They are responsible for the organisation and implementation of the representative sport program in the district.  A wide variety of sports are offered to students.

School carnivals

During the school year students also participate in the secondary school swimming, cross country and athletics carnivals. Age champions and house champion titles are awarded and students are able to qualify for the Broadwater Carnivals for each sport.

Upper Coomera State College has 4 sport houses that students are arranged into based on the first initial of their surname. The four houses are:

• Perkins (A-E)
• Rafter (F-K)
• O'Neill (L-R)
• Freeman (S-Z)
