Years 10 & 11 Block Exams
Years 10 and 11 students will have received their Block Exam schedule in their form rolls during week 5 as well. Year 10 and 11 exams will run from Monday 23rd November until Thursday 26th November. The final school day for Years 10 and 11 students is Friday 27th November. Students will attend their normal timetabled classes on this day.
All of the Block Exam schedules can be found on the College website as well.
Please note that students are only required to attend school during Block Exams when they have an exam scheduled. If students do need to be at school when they do not have a scheduled exam there is a study room with computer facilities that students are expected to use. It will not be acceptable for any senior student to be wandering the school grounds during class time during block exams, students will either be at an exam room or in the study room. Similarly, when students do not have a scheduled exam they are expected to be in their homes using the time to prepare for upcoming exams, it is not acceptable for students to be seen in parks or hanging around shops during the exam period. Students have been informed about our expectations surrounding block exams at assembly on 3rd November.
In addition, if a student is absent on the day they have an exam scheduled their parent/guardian should contact the teacher or Head of Department responsible for that subject. When the student returns to school a medical certificate or note must be provided to explain the absence and the student must see the teacher to arrange for a suitable time to complete the exam missed.
Good luck to all students for their final assessment items for the year. Remember preparation is the key to success.
