Year 9 Graduation
As we move towards the end of the year it is time for us to bid farewell to our year 9 students from Middle School as they continue on their journey into our Senior School and beyond. As a celebration to completing their time in Jakarra Middle School, Year 9 students and their parents/guardians will be invited to attend the Year 9 Graduation.
This culminating event will be held on Thursday the 3rd of December 2009 in the UCSC Performing Arts Complex. Students will be graduating alongside their peers at the following times:
- Team A & B - 9:10am – 10:10am
- Team C & D - 11:00am – 12:00pm
Graduating students are required to wear their full dress uniform.
Invitations will be sent home in the mail in the coming week. Please respond to your son/daughter’s Pathways teacher indicating your attendance ASAP.
Regards

Mid-week Motivation (All puns intended.)
Hello again from the furry depths of Movember!
As most would know we are now well and truly into this year’s Movember campaign and the teachers of the Middle School are doing their best to raise awareness and a few dollars for men’s health. We are also doing our best to grow our mos. Some Mo-bros are fantastic at letting nature take its course. Mr John Daniel with his Spanish heritage is well on his way to taking the win, with a Chopper-like moustache. Sadly others are struggling at best. Mr Travis “Travesty” Templar is hoping to one day sprout enough mo-hair to warrant a shave. None-the-less he is committed to cultivating the best version of a mo he can, all to raise awareness for Beyond Blue and the Prostate Cancer Foundation. There are countless other Mo-bros dealing with the itchiness and general annoyance of growing a ‘tasche. They are all champions in my book and easily as tough as Bear from ‘Man Vs Wild’!
Please feel free to check out the Movember.com Style Guide to compare and contrast our offerings. Speaking of offering…by all means please feel free to treat our “Upper Coo-Mo-Ra Crew” Movember team to some sponsorship at the following URL: http://au.movember.com/mospace/415482
On a humorous note Mr Bell was unable to make it the whole month without a shave. As per the year 7 Boys’ Class contract….Mr Bell will be publicly slimed.
