G' DAY USA PROGRAM
OPPORTUNITY FOR STUDENTS
An opportunity exists for students at UCSC to take part in a Cultural Exchange trip to the United State of America for 20 days. The trip is in January 2011 which gives you an opportunity to plan for the trip financially. Progressive payments made throughout the year, with final payment required in Oct 2010.
Destinations include: Disneyland, Universal Studios, Knott's Berry Farm, Los Angeles, San Diego, and San Francisco. A feature of the tour is the students spend 10 days living with an American family and spend some time in an American school.
The cost is $4,995 which includes the following: Airfares, transfers, accommodation, breakfasts and admissions to attractions.
This program is not organised by UCSC but by Educational World Travel (www.ewt.com.au) who have been in operation for over 20 years. However the contact and tour leader for this tour is a staff member of UCSC.
Confirmed bookings and a deposit must be received before the end of this school year.

EDUCATION QUEENSLAND INTERNATIONAL HOST FAMILY REGISTER
Have you given any thought to being a Host Family for an overseas student? UCSC host approximately 3 tours per year (from 10 days to 3 weeks) and would like to increase these numbers but need your help.
We are putting together a Main Register list of Host Families to call on when a tour is announced. You may only want to host once a year, or maybe for all the planned UCSC tours. If you are not on our Register we cannot contact you. Alternatively if you are on our Register, you are not obligated to host every time.
This is a great opportunity for you and your family to experience another culture. For an information pack, please contact Karren Hackling – EQI Home Stay Coordinator on 5580 7555 or khack14@eq.edu.au |
